Stay connected with each other and the stories and authors who inspire us. Here is the compiled list of virtual Waseca-Le Sueur Regional Library System upcoming author talks, performances, workshops, and more that are happening each month, which we will be updating daily.

These events require advance registration.

Ongoing

  • Register for COVID-19 Weekly Updates to learn the latest local COVID-19 information from Waseca and Le Sueur Public Health Departments.
  • Sign up to receive a Gnome Kit. Make an adorable Swedish gnome, known
    as a tomten. Geared for ages 7+. Available at all libraries.
  • Sign up to receive a Story Quilts Pack. design story quilts that combine painting,
    fabric, and visual storytelling to create pieces of art that shares your personal story. Geared for ages 7-12. Available at all libraries.
  • Sign up to receive a You Oughta Be In Pictures Pack. Create a photo ring to display your favorite pics! Paint and bling it up any way you choose. Geared for ages 13+. Available at all libraries.
  • Sign up to receive a Collage & Paper Sculpture Pack. Create delightful, colorful artworks using collage and papercrafting techniques. Geared for ages 7-12. Available at all libraries.

Tuesday, December 8th

  • At Name that Town, Minnesota photographer and storyteller Doug Ohman will share the history of Minnesota towns and fun stories relating to the towns’ names. This series is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Tuesday, December 15th

  • At Teen Book Club, discuss Skyhunter by Marie Lu and The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes with other teens. Geared for ages 13-18. (3:30 PM)

Thursday, December 30th

  •  Are you just like your country—young, scrappy, and hungry? Compete
    to achieve Your Shot in this Hamilton Trivia competition. The winner will receive some Hamilton: An American Musical swag. Geared for ages 13-18. (2 PM)
