Announcing Waseca Public Library’s Summer Concert Series
Waseca Public Library’s fifth summer concert series will once again take place in Trowbridge Park. This library-sponsored series will bring a variety of music to the community on Tuesday nights at 7 pm in June.
Northern Darling will lead off the series at 7 pm on June 4th. With well-crafted and creative originals and some fun covers, Northern Darling has been described as a pure as honey, hipster version of Billie Holiday.
The Common Ground Company, a fresh and hoppy Minnesota bluegrass band that combines elements of rock, jazz, pop, and country with bluegrass instruments and powerful vocals, will perform on June 11th at 7 pm.
Comprised of complex instrumental arrangements and intricate four-part harmonies, Sawyer’s Dream is an echo of the past and a glimmer of hope for the new day. They hit the stage on June 18th at 7 pm.
Lena Elizabeth will close out the series on June 25th at 7 pm. “Lena sounds like Midwestern Brandi
Carlile with a meaty voice.” —StarTribune “Sweetness sounds best up against a snarl—some complexity and tension. Lena Elizabeth is one to watch.” —The Current
In case of rain, the concert will be held in Waseca Public Library.
Sponsored by the E.F. Johnson Foundation and the Friends of the Waseca Public Library.
