Summer Reading Program Waseca Kick-Off

Readers ages 2-18 are invited to participate in the 2016 Ready Set Read Summer Reading Program at Waseca Public Library. The Library is holding a registration kick-off from 1-3 pm on June 6th in Trowbridge Park with activities exclusively for those who sign up for the program on the first day.

All ages are welcome to jog through a field of bubbles during our Bubble Run, which starts at 1 pm. Kids are invited to enjoy fruit kabobs (provided by Hy-Vee and Friends of the Waseca Public Library), inflatable carnival games, and Active Bingo while teens can learn how to make origami cranes and washi tape creations.

The Summer Reading Program provides incentive prizes and events geared to keep kids reading and actively learning throughout the summer. The program is sponsored by Friends of the Waseca Public Library, Pantheon Computers, Paul and Sue Rosenau Legacy of Angels Funds, Northwood Cinema 10, the Waseca Water Park, 4 Seasons Athletics, Dairy Queen, McDonald’s, Wow Zone, Roy and Jeannette Tollefson Fund, Kato Escape Room, Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota, Greater Mankato Area United Way, Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Lynx, and Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative.
