Extra Life

Local teens are playing games for 24 hours straight to help kids. From 8 am on Saturday, November 7th to 8 am on Sunday, November 8th, teens will be playing video games and board games at the Waseca Public Library. Friends and family sponsor the teens for each hour they play. 100% of the money the teens raise will go to benefit kids through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This year, Waseca Public Library’s goal is to raise $1500. Last year twenty-five teens raised $1000. Donations are tax-deductible.
Teens (ages 13-18) who would like to participate will need their parents to sign a permission slip and to register online to be part of the Waseca Public Library team at www.extra-life.org/team/wasecalibrary
Started in 2008, Extra Life is a national charitable event. Last year Extra Life participants raised more than 4 million dollars for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
