African Drumming Workshop

FreeParticipants will learn about drums such as the kenkeni, sangba, dun dun, and djembe. Ghana Mbaya, aka “Brother Ghana”, who was born in Senegal, will teach a hands-on lesson in traditional African drumming. An experience which will resonate within each student for years to come!
This program is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant provided by the Traverse des Sioux Library Cooperative, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
