DESCRIPTION:COMPAS Artist Kalpulli Ketzal Coatlicue will provide an introduction of the Nahuatl/Aztec representations of life through dance. Driving drum rhythms and dazzling costumes inspire and energize the crowd. Through each step the dancer in full regalia gives life to the symbols of the dance. All ages. \nThese programs were made possible in part with a grant from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund of the Minnesota Clean Water\, Land\, and Legacy Amendment through the Traverse des Sioux Library System. \n

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy an afternoon of carnival games\, a balloon artist\, and decorating our sidewalks with chalk. Plus\, meet the artist who is creating a painting of our library and color along with her. Melissa Schulz will be playing live music at the event! All ages. \nSponsored by Janesville Area Foundation\, Simply Saved Thrift Store. This activity is also made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board\, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. \n
